SanDisk just made a huge breakthrough in the world of mobile device SD cards as they have just unveiled the 128GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC™ UHS-I. This SD card can hold up to 128GB of storage in a size no bigger than a human fingernail. Until now, the maximum capacity SD cards could hold was around 64GB, half of the newly released SD card. Pricing for the card has not yet been announced and we have yet to see any devices that are able to support an SD card of this size. However it is a reasonable assumption that future devices will support these new cards, I'm looking at you Samsung!
What do you guys think? Is this a ridiculous amount of storage for mobile devices or is this the holy grail of SD cards you've been waiting for? Let us know in the comments below.
